Tips for Selecting Bridal Veils and Headpieces.
Bridal veil colors and styles should be reflective of your bridal gown’s style, beadwork,
color and fullness.
You should have an overall look of balance when wearing your gown and veil together, complimenting your height,
taking care not to overwhelm your face. Choosing double, single or triple layers of veil depends on how much fullness you want around
your face.
Use the decoration on the back of the gown and the formality of the wedding to provide guidelines for the length or edging
of the veil.
If your gown does not have a long train or has detail at the waist, you may want to wear an elbow length veil.
A fingertip length veil is flattering for almost all figures. A longer veil is more common for formal and semiformal weddings.
If the gown has a train, the longer veil should descend at least one foot or more onto the train of the gown.
A detachable veil on
a separate comb or using Velcro is a good idea for long veils that may be bothersome at the reception.
